Woods Hole Folk Music
From ancient melodies to traditional fiddle and folk tunes and contemporary country and original music, there is something for everyone throughout the day, as well as numerous places to grab a bite to eat and enjoy the charm of Woods Hole. Bourbon Sunset, featuring Chris Miner on mandolin, Lynda Shuster on banjo and Peter Waful on guitar, will perform bluegrass and folk tunes as part of the Woods Hole Trad Stroll on Saturday.... This group is a place to announce events and post photos of folk and contra dancing in Woods Hole, MA.
You are invited to join the group and post relevant dance events as well as share your thoughts, enthusiasm, and high-quality pictures and videos of Woods Hole dances. The Trad Stroll is a beloved, free community event held this year on Saturday, May 2 from noon to 5:30 PM, followed by the Woods Hole Contra Dance from 7:30 to 10 PM with the Woods Hole Folk Orchestra. Please check back later. Woods Hole Music Contra Dancing, with live music from the Woods Hole Folk Orchestra, has been held on the first Saturday of the month in the Woods Hole Community Hall since 1973.
Over six hours at seven venues, musicians will play Native American, Celtic, folk, roots and early music as part of the annual Woods Hole Trad Stroll. The Barnstable County Bogtrotters, featuring Tom Goux, Dan Lanier, and John Alden, will share songs and shanties of the sea and other folk tunes at 3 PM in Wood Hole Community Hall. All concerts begin at 7:30 PM, Doors open at 7:00 PM.
