Bmw 128i Vs 228i

Hi All, This will be my first BMW purchase. Can anyone share there opinions on the 128i vs the 228i? I do like the turbos and the mileage of the 228i, but I assume the reliability of the 128i is better, so that makes that option very attractive. Any feedback about driving impressions and.
