1991 Koenig-Specials KS8 In the mid-nineties Koenig-Specials based out of Munich Germany offered an aggressive bodykit for the BMW 8 Series known as the KS8. It included a front skirt, large fender flares and a rear wing, however, Koenig also offered a comprehensive program to upgrade almost the entire car. One of these was ordered in black for inclusion in the Sultan of Brunei's collection.

They would increase the output of the motor that was put in the 850i model to 450 horsepower, and to 510 horsepower for the engine in the 850CSi engine version. All these modifications made the simple 850i, deliver 450 hp, while the 850CSi produced 510 hp, an increase of 150 and 130 hp respectively. The extra horsepower enabled the car to have a top speed of 322 km/hour, while there was an option of putting a more sporty rear axle, which improved acceleration, but limited the top speed to 282 km/h.

The 1991 BMW 850i was part of the BMW 8 Series, a flagship luxury coupe that emphasized both performance and comfort. The 850i was particularly notable for its powerful 5.0-liter V12 engine, which produced around 300 horsepower and delivered exceptional torque. This setup allowed the 850i to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just under 6 seconds.
