I currently own, or have owned, '10 135i, '13 128i, '16 435i and a F90 M5. So I my advice is to decide the priorities of what you want if you want luxury then power and straight line grunt, then look towards the M850. If you want power and performance, then luxury-ish, then look at the M4.

The M4, with its inline-6 TwinPower Turbo engine, is a raw, responsive machine ideal for performance enthusiasts. M4 or M850i I've been driving a X5M Competition for the last two years and love it. But I'm getting the itch to go back to a convertible.
