Let me introduce my build of the R9T 100Y. My goal is to build the ultimate aggressive version of the 100Y model retaining its unique signature look and keeping it practical. Wheels - Custom painted BMW HP2 Sport.

Front wheel required custom machined spacers and a new ABS sensor + ABS ring. Traditionally, the vintage BMW R-series are one of the favorite base bikes to turn into a one off build. BMW's R NineT was designed with ease of customisation in mind. What they probably didn't expect was how far custom workshops were going to take it. This classic race-inspired R9T is the work Italian workshop, Luismoto.

Experience increased power, more predictable ridability, and enhanced throttle response. Rapid Bike fuelling modules work by managing the BMW R9T's injectors and lambda sensors in order to achieve a new, more efficient fuelling map. This allows the bike to work around the stock ECU settings, which are very restrictive due to EU emission laws, and causes a dramatic improvement in engine performance and fuel efficiency.

This increase in HP was made possible with the San Jose BMW Big Bore Kit in conjunction with the in house San Jose BMW performance cylinder head porting and larger valves. We took what was a rather aggressive stock riding position and added the San Jose BMW Superbike Handle Bar Conversion kit, adding comfort while increasing the feel and feedback. Their 15th build pushes the envelope to the breaking point.

It's a 2016-model BMW R nineT with hand-formed metalwork, 3D-printed parts, and bodywork that opens via remote control. We interviewed the team behind the development of the BMW R nineT a few years ago. They were adamant about one thing: the base bike should be easy to adapt to a wide range of styles.

Now the German shop Hookie Co. are driving that point home, with their second plug and play kit for the nineT. Hookie's first 'Moto-Kit' had a laid-back scrambler vibe, but this new design takes a different.
