Ice Bath World Record

A cold-loving ice bath enthusiast who broke a record by immersing herself in freezing conditions has helped hundreds of others become record breakers too. Katarzyna Jakubowska (Poland) spent 3 hr 6 min 45 sec submerged in ice in 2023 to earn the record for longest duration full body contact with ice (female). Then last December, she recruited 207 other people to join her in becoming the most.

Wim Hof, better known as The Iceman, holds multiple world records for his ability to withstand extremely cold temperatures. The athlete and motivational speaker developed the Wim Hof Method and has become a global cultural phenomenon. His teachings about breathwork and the benefits of cold plunges have attracted millions of followers throughout the world.

The longest duration full body contact with ice (male) is 4 hr 6 min 7 sec and was achieved by Wojciech Pruński (Poland), in Kalisz, Poland, on 26 April 2025. After spending many hours in icy water, Wojciech realised if he could do this he just might be able to beat the record for the longest duration full body contact with ice. He is now the world record holder!

André Belibi Eloumou (France) spent over four hours in an ice bath, breaking the Guinness World Records title for longest duration full body contact with ice (male). He broke this record almost a year ago today, but as we near the end of Autism Acceptance Month, we want to take this opportunity to highlight an Officially Amazing story that supported an important cause. They don't get any cooler than this guy.
