The Alpina B7 (F01) is the fourth generation of the high-performance BMW 7 Series manufactured by Alpina from 2011 until 2015. Based on the BMW 7 Series (F01), the car was introduced to the public at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show and was available in normal and long-wheelbase versions, with xDrive or rear. After a long development time, ALPINA launched the BMW ALPINA B7 in 2004.

The Alpina B7 is no longer in production, with the company axing the model based on BMW's 7 Series flagship. As reported by CarBuzz, the end of the B7 coincides with the end of the G11/12 7. Years before they go into production, Alpina has access to early BMW concepts and prototypes. Models are put through aerodynamic, top speed, and endurance testing on the racetrack. ALPINA has assembled the final B7 based on the previous-generation BMW 7 Series, mentioning it's the last of the B7 lineage.

The B7 is based on the BMW 745i which has a 4,4-litre V8 producing 333 bhp. The most important change Alpina have made to the engine is fitting a supercharger, which makes the B7 the first supercharged Alpina ever. Alpina earlier in September marked the end of production of its B7 based on the outgoing BMW 7-Series, and confirmed the car as the last B7.

Take one BMW 7 Series, work with a German aftermarket tuner, and the result is a BMW Alpina B7 xDrive, a limited-production full-size luxury sedan. Unlike other high-performance models, this one isn't handled by BMW's Motorsport division. Instead, Alpina was tapped to modify this grand flagship, transforming it into an awesome sports sedan ready to take on the track.
