Bmw N55 Alpina

The B3 is based on the BMW 335i and utilises a modified version of its N55 straight six engine. Alpina modified the engine by adding two smaller variable-geometry turbochargers in place of the standard single turbocharger, NGK spark plugs, electronically controlled bypass valve system, a high-performance fuel pump, a 40 percent larger intercooler, Alpina specific ECU along with a wiring loom. The N55 engine is a 3.0. The Alpina B3 was introduced in 2014 as a variant of the F30 BMW 3 Series. It was available as a 4-door sedan and wagon (Touring).

The B3 was powered by a 3.0L twin-turbocharged inline six N55 engine, coupled to a ZF 8. The N55 was heavily overhauled, and given two Alpina mono-scroll turbochargers, pushing power to 410 horses. One could choose between RWD or AWD, and if the latter was optioned, 62 mph arrived in.
