The fire produced by these guns, known as blaster bolts, comes in a variety of different colors. But why? What is the purpose and meaning of each color? For some, the answers are clearly provided in Star Wars canon; for others, we can only speculate. Read on to about each of the seven blaster bolt colors seen in Star Wars.
Many colors in the Star Wars universe have an explanation. Fans are aware of lightsabers, but blaster bolts also have a reason behind them. I have noticed lately that there are different colors used in the bolts for Star Wars blasters.
I am making this post in hopes to clear some things up about this topic (All following information is canon). The reasoning behind the difference in bolt colors all comes down to abundance and price. Red.
A blaster,[2] also called a gun,[3] was any type of ranged weapon that fired bolts of intense plasma or particle-based energy, often mistaken for lasers. Operating under the same principles as laser weaponry and firing at least partially by means of magnetic induction, blasters converted energy-rich gas,[2] such as tibanna gas,[5] to a glowing particle beam that could pierce and melt through. Why are some blaster bolts colored differently? Do they mean anything specific? Here is the answer!Subscribe for more Star Wars videos every day!Join this ch.
Ever wonder why Star Wars blaster bolts aren't all the same color? From stormtroopers' red to clone troopers' blue, every choice has a reason. This video breaks down the hidden meanings. Blaster bolts came in different colors.
Red was the most common color, and was made from cheaper gas. This color was used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Rebel Alliance, the Galactic Empire, and the First Order. Blue was used by the Galactic Republic, and the Resistance.
Here's a particularly interesting topic that's always overlooked: Does the color of blaster bolts matter? They seem to very much be associated with certain factions, or at least preferred by those factions. Red seems to be the most common and universal color, though particularly liked by the separatists. Blue used almost exclusively by the republic.
Green is often associated with the Empire. With red blaster bolts probably being the most common and blue being semi-common (especially with Grand Army of the Republic weapons) and green probably being the rarest unless it's a Tie Fighter or E-web. Do blaster bolt colors mean anything? Like is a blue blaster bolt more damaging than red?
What determines blaster bolt color? Like lightsabers, blaster bolt colors have different meanings from one another. The reason for that involves the gases that are used in blasters to provide the deadly bolt. The gas' quality or how it is modified will dictate why a blaster bolt will have its distinct red, blue or even green color.
