The most notable changes include his blue fur gaining a glossy sheen and becoming golden yellow in color, his green irises turning red and the quills on his head.
I think the Sonic Prime fur colour hits just right with me, a deep but vibrant blue with hints of lighter gradients. I feel like designs like Sonic adventure 2 lean towards a navy tone which I'm not so keen on. So, why not add fur textures to some of the games? Therefore, I went ahead and downloaded the Sonic 06 model I got from Lukebgamer10, gave it some better color, and applied a fur texture to it. Sonic still uses the gloves and shoes he usually wears.
