The Last Bridge in Glushkovsky District Destroyed, Russian Propaganda Telegram Channels Say

The destruction by the AFU of the third bridge over the Sejm River in the village of Karyzh was reported by “war correspondent” Vladimir Romanov. Later, this information was also confirmed by the SHOT Telegram channel and the captain of the AFU Ilya Tumanov (Fighterbomber).

This is the last capital construction that could be used to supply the Russian group near the border in the Kursk region.

“If the third bridge is really destroyed, it means that the Russian army has no full-fledged way left for withdrawal to the northern bank. Now the AFU is threatening to encircle the Russian forces standing along the border. By forcing them to retreat, the AFU can quickly occupy all the space between the river and the border. First of all, this is simply a very large area. Second, the Ukrainian military will have a good defensive line along the Seim River. Globally, this will allow them to either try to go further to Rylsk and cut off the entire overhang on the border, or to confidently defend along the river and redeploy forces to other areas,” military expert Yan Matveev told IStories.

A day earlier, Ukraine destroyed a second bridge in the Glushkovsky district. The Russian Armed Forces have already put at least one pontoon crossing over the Seim, according to satellite imagery data. They were pointed out by OSINT specialist Moklasen.

On Saturday, the head of the Glushkovsky district, Pavel Zolotarev, told TASS that the removal of residents had become complicated, but the authorities “have other options for evacuation.”
