Fatima Khazueva was one of the finalists of Chechen Republic beauty contest, which took place in 2006. After that contest, participants went to a banquet with Ramzan Kadyrov, the governor of Chechnya, and his guards. This is how Khazueva could have met Kadyrov. Khazueva owns a huge mansion in Grozny on a plot of land of almost one hectare. It is one of the most luxurious mansions in Grozny and is located in front of Kadyrov's residence. Next door is mansions of people close to Kadyrov: Magomed Daudov, speaker of the Chechen parliament, and Adam Delimkhanov, a member of the Russian State Duma. The mosque in the neighborhood is named after Shaykhi Hazuyev, Fatima's father.
