Velociraptor was the first dromaeosaurid to be discovered (1923) and is still the most well known to paleontologists, with over a dozen recovered fossil skeletons - the most of any other member of its family. In addition to the male Velociraptors of Jurassic Park III, the movie also includes some female Raptors in its main Raptor family, and their design is somewhat different from the males of the pack.
