Add a nice colorful washable rug. You could hang a moisture loving plant like a fern or orchid over the sink, the steam from sink would mist it. I always like to see colorful fruit in the kitchen.or put a shelf over the sink, glass maybe since it would be in front of the window, and place some plants on that.

Hello, and if this post is not suited for the sub, i apologies. I have the opportunity to remake my future kitchen (new apartment, needs complete re-work before we move in). Do you have any tips to share? Any beloved setups that would be a good idea to have from the beginning? Any gadget that proved useful?

What are the dos and donts for doing a kitchen remodel? This can be related to the things you think are must haves, things that sound cool on paper but are a waste of space/money, things to make sure are done or not done when doing a remodel in a kitchen, cabinet color suggestions, counter tops, anything. I appreciate the time! I'm in the process of looking for a splash of color to add to my kitchen through accessories such as countertop canisters, etc.

As you can see everything is currently dark in my partners kitchen. What would you suggest?
