Touch of Grey Rescue often takes the oldest and most medically complicated dogs out of the shelter, and places them into loving foster homes. We provide them medical care that most people, and even many other rescues, cannot. Author Wendy Johnson founded Touch of Grey Rescue in 2019 after volunteering at her local shelter and seeing firsthand how many senior dogs were homeless and learning of the grim statistics of older dogs being adopted from shelters.
