Have you checked out IKEA? Their cabinets are pretty decent quality, especially for the price. Plus, they come in a bunch of colors, so you can match your wood floors and walls no problem. Looking for the best value on kitchen cabinets We're buying a house and the kitchen needs a total overhaul.

Originally I was leaning towards IKEA and/or Semi Handmade, but the more I looked thru this sub, the less sold I was. Has anyone had them for 5+ years, or found solid wood for a decent price elsewhere? We will be buying some new kitchen cabinets as part of a remodel soon.

Seems like all of the stuff at home depot and lowes are built using MDF or particle board, which I think I'd like to avoid. Question is, what to buy? There are some sites online that sell ready-to-assemble cabinets and fully assembled cabinets. Also, I found through costco they partnered with a cabinet maker in florida.

Ikea. Decent quality, great price, great variety of options to fit your kitchen and lifestyle. You need to put work into it though, but it's not difficult.

Reply reply bcimgratekate. I replaced all of our kitchen cabinets with IKEA Sektion cabinets almost three years ago and we have been very happy with them. IMO the most important consideration is making sure your rails are as level as humanly possible, then the cabinets simply hang from the rails.

Cliq Studios (an online cabinet seller) sells RTA and pre-assembled cabinets with plywood boxes, dovetail drawers, nice hinges. We were very happy with the quality. You can try unfinished-kitchen-cabinets.net.

These guys probably have the best customization options I've seen, nice interactive site and prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. About 10k unfinished or 14k painted versus -Regular RTA cabinets, plywood and sourced in China, from Cabinet Kings. Stock cabinets so need a few spacers to fill our space.

About 9k finished with Sherwin Williams paint. How hard is it to paint cabinets and get a factory like finish? I'm leaning option 1.
