BMW 335d is a great car! I do not own one, but I test driven 335d many times and finally convienced my co-worker to buy it, so on occasion I drive it during lunch.

Really reliable the M57 engine I have the 330d. As for 100k maintenance items erm well if I'm honest everything starts to fail at around 100k if it's not failed already! I bought mine 2 years ago 2 previous owners, full BMW service history and spent about £900 over 3 months earlier this year replacing both rear subframe mounts, both rear rose bushes, both front track control arms, the egr.

The new 328i is compelling, but I think real-world mileage won't hold up nearly as well as the diesel. BMW was forced to revise the ratings from 36mpg highway to 32 or 33, and turbo gas motors typically get worse than advertised mileage.

Hello. I'm new to this Forum. I'm considering buying a 2009 or 2010 335d and wanted to hear from about some experiences with the 335d. I test drove it and it's a sweet ride, but wanted to know more about reliability and/or maintenance costs. Saw a couple comments on another board with some guys complaining about increased problems after 40k miles. Thanks in advance!
