Dinner at the Witchery's Secret Garden We had the opportunity to enjoy a Scottish fine dining experience at Edinburgh's famous restaurant, The Witchery by the Castle. There are two dining spaces here, the main restaurant and the Secret Garden area, where we dined. These are The Witchery's original dining room which is set in the historic building and a 'hidden' Secret Garden restaurant that is located below the floor further back in the Boswell's Courtyard.
I've eaten in both of these rooms and they are both magnificent atmospheres with out. Situated in a collection of historic buildings at the gates to Edinburgh Castle, The Witchery is open all day from noon until 10.30pm (last reservation) for both Witchery residents staying with us and guests. Step into our enchanting 16th. The Witchery's Afternoon Tea, served in the magnificent Secret Garden room or baroque candlelit Original Dining Room is a truly decadent treat.
The Witchery is set within historic 16th-century buildings in Edinburgh's Old Town, which retain much of their original character. This means there are 18 steps to the Secret Garden dining room and four steps to the Original Dining Room, which may make access challenging for some guests. The Secret Garden is a lighter, terraced area within the Witchery.
I haven't been in there, only in the oak room inside. So both in the Witchery but different area for dining.
