Background Location Permission Toyota App

How do I turn geolocation on if I initially declined the request to "use my current location" on my My Toyota App? First, exit the app. For iPhones, go to SETTINGS and select PRIVACY. Open LOCATION SERVICES and make sure it is activated.

Scroll down to find My Toyota and verify it is activated, as well. Geolocation should be re. I noticed this too after a recent update.

If you set the permission to "only when using app" it still keeps using location services in the background, even if you are not using any location dependent functions. I have now denied the app any access to location services. Hopefully this is just a bug rather than Toyota tracking us to harvest extra telemetry data.
