Toyota App Battery Drain

For the last few weeks the battery life on my iPhone had become noticeably worse. I looked in the battery settings part of the iOS and I noticed that over the last 24 hrs the Toyota app was the top user of battery life at 20% of total use for background processes. I hadn't opened the Toyota app.

Whenever I use the app, there are always notifications left after I'm finished, when this happens, I just force stop the toyota app and that stops it from draining my battery. iPhone 13 mini iOS 17.3.1. MyToyota v2.5.0 Out in the car today visit to dealer for service.

Checking phone Battery usage tonight I notice MyToyota App was using quite a lot of Battery in the background during the times when driving. Stopped when I got home and locked the car. Never noticed this.

The 25% number isn't really meaningful. It doesn't mean the Toyota app used 1/4 of your battery that day. It means of all your apps using the battery, it is responsible for about 25% of that drain.

So the number can vary wildly that day based on what other apps you used. Add up the percentages for all the apps you'll see it is always around 100% (allowing for rounding up to 1% minimum.
