Re: 95 k75 abs removal update by squirrel Sun Jun 15, 2025 6:19 am removed small blue sensor it stopped the small abs light from flashing.all lights work including brake lights. the big light in the center of pod still flashing.its not located next to the small one like in pics and diagram so ill take it out today. When my ABS failed, the rear brake wouldn't work until I unplugged the brain.

After that, everything worked as a normal non-ABS bike should. If you have the brain unplugged and the rear brake isn't working, I'd suspect that there's air in the system still--it's a real task to bleed it out, but. ALWAYS WORK AT YOUR OWN RISK.

This is only for the rear wheel, front wheel is basically the same but the original line does not reach the calipers. Ill make. 1993 k75 - ABS removal Hi folks I've just parked the bike up for Winter and have a small list of jobs, one of which is to remove the non-functioning ABS system.

The modulators are heavy and get right in the way whenever I try to tinker. Removing K75S ABS1 System by Bill Smith Wed Mar 21, 2018 2:44 pm The ABS on my 1991 K75S no longer works, and after getting three possible answers from three dealers, I've decided to remove the system and run standard brakes. My question is in regard to replacing the brake lines. So my 93' K75s project is moving along.

After 10 plus dormant years I have it running after going through the fuel system - new sending unit, pump and injectors. All fluids swapped and the brakes are next. Personal choice (I'm sure there are many opinions and this is mine).

The ABS on my '92 K100 - probably the same system as K75's, - failed at around 20K and none of the cheap fixes (recommended by numerous folk on this and the IBMWR site) worked. 1992 K75S; ABS Delete I just bought this bike and the ABS is toast. I'll probably completely remove it at some point, but for the time being, I'm looking to at least get rid of the ABS brain that lives in the rear cowl.
