Hyundai 2017 Carplay

Most Hyundai vehicles 2017 and newer with Display Audio or Navigation arrive with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay installed. However, there are a select number of vehicles that do not have it installed. Wired Apple CarPlay Compatibility Most Hyundai models from 2017 onward include wired Apple CarPlay as either standard or available equipment.

The Hyundai Elantra Apple CarPlay was actually one of the first to get this feature in the 2017 model year. The Hyundai Sonata Apple CarPlay and Hyundai Santa Fe Apple CarPlay weren't far behind. It has been a frustrating wait for Hyundai owners, who were promised CarPlay support back in 2015.

Now at least six months overdue, Hyundai is now informing dealers about their software update and rolling out their CarPlay update to eligible owners that will create eight new CarPlay enabled vehicles that range between 2015 to 2017 models. Hyundai has released an update which adds Apple CarPlay support for the 2017 Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport models. I updated mine this morning.
