Hyundai 74 Hydrogen

Hyundai N Vision 74 is a concept car inspired by the Hyundai Pony Coupe. N Vision 74 is the first high performance Rolling Lab built on the most advanced hydrogen fuel cell. An homage to the never-built 1974 Pony Coupe, the N Vision 74 will serve as a showcase of Hyundai's hydrogen fuel cell technology and capability.

We're ready to introduce the N Vision 74, a high-performance hydrogen-electric hybrid vehicle that combines Hyundai's past, present, and future. Most people think of hydrogen cars as either/or propositions: you're either running pure fuel cell power like Toyota's Mirai, or you're dealing with traditional combustion engines burning hydrogen instead of gasoline. Hyundai has taken a completely different approach with the N Vision 74.

The N Vision 74 is a rear-wheel-drive coupe driven by two electric traction motors, both on the rear axle; power is provided by both a storage battery and a hydrogen fuel cell. In December 2023, Hyundai confirmed that the N Vision 74 would be in production with 200 units starting in 2026. The fuel cell sits between two 4.2kg hydrogen tanks and a 62.4kWh battery.

Hyundai confirmed in its 2024 investor presentation that the N Vision 74 hydrogen hybrid sports car will enter production this decade. The internet-breaking N Vision 74 is Hyundai's latest alternatively-fuelled performance-car concept. It combines the wedge-shaped silhouette of the 1974 Pony Coupe concept (designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro) with what Hyundai says is the most advanced hydrogen fuel.
