Setting a Static WAN IP
Under the Setup tab, there is a Connection Type setting. One of the options is literally Static IP . When I enable that, the WAN IP address field autopopulates with the aforementioned 192.168.1.65 and the gateway address autopopulates to 192.168.1.254, which is the default gateway address . So why do I lose WAN connectivity when I enable it?
If you know the MAC address of the server, you should be able to give it a static IP in DD-WRT (Services tab, and you'll see a DHCP Server section, in there there is an option to add a reservation). Then go to the server, release and renew the IP address , make sure it gets the correct one, then you should be set .
