Overview of Multimodal Texture Composition
In this chapter, I review influential accounts of texture and cohesion from the literature on multimodality. I suggest that these approaches should be enriched by incorporating expert knowledge from the field of typography. Finally, having outlined the theoretical tools which seem useful for the analysis of multimodal texture , I show how these might be applied when analysing pack designs.
