Experience: I have been a mental health care provider for thirteen years. Early in my career I was a social worker and provided adult care in psychiatric clinic and hospital. I worked with developmentally and physically disabled children and families. I worked for 25 years managing marketing and research at Silicon Valley companies. I returned to school to become a clinical psychologist. I conducted research in attachment and did clinical training at the University of California San Francisco, San Francisco General Hospital, Child Trauma Research Project where I assessed and treated young traumatized children (0 to 7) and their caretakers. I completed my internship specializing in adult trauma patients at UCSF, San Francisco General Hospital where I worked in the Opiate Treatment Outpatient Program and the Psychosocial Medicine Clinic. I finished my formal training with residency at Kaiser Permanente Psychiatry Department, Child and Adolescent Services where I provided assessment, psychotherapy, and group services for children, adolescents and families. I opened my private practice in 2006. I work part-time in the Friends Program, Palo Alto, a therapeutic program for parents and their high functioning children who have Asperger’s Disorder or Pervasive Developmental Delays, NOS. |
