Sample of Children’s Services

· Anxiety and depressive disorders.

· I have a specialty in treating young children with attachment disorders using a treatment model that actively involves the caretaker and the child.  I also use DIR/Floortime interventions.

· I provide assessments and treatment of troubled relationships between children and parents. These may occur when adult stressors such as divorce, parental conflict, or mental illness arise. On the other hand, when a child’s unusual needs make it difficult for a parent to know how to help the child, I support the parent to understand the child’s developmental, social and emotional functioning to improve the relationship between the child and family.

· Psychological assessment and ongoing child and family support for individuals suspected to have Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Asperger’s Disorder, school achievement challenges (e.g.: Learning Differences, ADHD) or behavioral problems at school.

· Diagnosis is only the beginning. Navigating the maze of services and treatment options, including school services requires support and guidance. Supporting a special needs child calls for support for the family.  If you desire, I collaborate with other professionals in the community such as teachers, occupational and speech and language therapists, etc..
