An homage to the never-built 1974 Pony Coupe, the N Vision 74 will serve as a showcase of Hyundai's hydrogen fuel cell technology and capability. The N74 may be more powerful than initially thought Hyundai's concept version of the N Vision 74 had an estimated 671 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque from its hydrogen fuel cell hybrid. But according to Korean Economy Daily, the production version could pack 775 horsepower and accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in three seconds or less.

A report from a South Korean newspapers alleges that Hyundai is hard at work developing the retro supercar with hydrogen power. The N Vision 74 is a rear-wheel-drive coupe driven by two electric traction motors, both on the rear axle; power is provided by both a storage battery and a hydrogen fuel cell. In December 2023, Hyundai confirmed that the N Vision 74 would be in production with 200 units starting in 2026.
