Toyota Update Error 101

I Have a FWD BZ4X car Since two days ago 1. the toyota app stopped updating mileage, Battery capacity and trips and 2. Every few minites a popup error window comes in the car screen indicating error 101.

As a title i keep getting every 10 seconds this pop up: ERROR SOFTWARE UPDATE Try later Error:101 I have tryed the wifi at home and there was any. I've been getting a software update error code 101 on my brand new chr gr sport so I've booked it in to my local dealer for this Friday, could anyone tell me if they. Randomly today I keep getting a orange drop down notification at the top of the 14" screen, "Unable to update the software".Please try again later.

Have the latest Toyota App and vehicle is registered within the app. Auto and manual attempts to update software fail. Thanks in advance.

Hi Derek, It seems like there may be an issue with the head unit trying to connect to Toyota's update servers or a software conflict. Sometimes, software tries to check for updates in the background or during certain operations. It literally started today and it's pretty annoying, every few seconds it blinks this warning across the screen "Unable to update the software", "Please try again later.

Toyota main dealers problem - its under warranty. Show the service reception person that picture so it proves there is a fault. Is your vehicle due / had the DCM software update service campaign carried out?

I have a 2015 Toyota 4Runner that is experiencing the known problem of the navigation and audio system intermittently rebooting. Current software revision on my multimedia system is 0101C1. I have followed the online instructions to update the software, but get to the last step and the update.

You can do OTA updates via wireless - or, at least, you can with the 2019-2021 generation systems. Take a look at what is available for your generation via My Toyota, but I'd be surprised if the OTA option isn't available to you.
