I just ordered a 1300 GS in triple black. After having a FJR 1300 my main concern is maintenance costs. I've done all my own maintenance on my Vincent for the last 40 years, and on the FJR for the last 5 - I'm not about to take the 1300 to the dealer for everything.

The R 1250 GS in its current form will be produced until May 2023, GSA - May 2024. This means R 1300 GS starts production in June 2023, and R 1300 GSA.

They don't want to be associated with a competitor by having their bikes in their showroom. I think BMW and Mercedes dealers used to do the same thing.
