General discussion of the BMW R1200RT/R1250RTLast Sunday I finished an ABS removal and oil change. I let the bike warm up in my driveway and went down to my local gas station to top off fuel for.
There can be problems with the fuel level sensing device - you can find a thread on this in the stickies section of this forum - but these failures were universal across all the hex/camhead bikes for the years BMW used them. ALL R1200R's have them. BMW has issued an extended warranty on the fuel sensors.

After 65,000 miles on my 2003 R1150R, I am pondering moving up to an R1200R and have encountered two for sale locally, both at dealerships here in southeast Michigan. One is a 2007 R1200R and the other is a 2011 R1200R (they both have very low miles and ABS) there is a 45% price difference.
