Selling My Old Car to a Local Auto Salvage Yard

So, here's the latest from my garage: I finally sold my old car. And no, it wasn't to some neighbor or through an online ad; this trusty hunk of metal has found its final resting place at our local auto salvage yard.

You might think there'd be a long story behind getting rid of an old friend like that - memories on the road, tough goodbyes. But honestly? It was time. The repairs were stacking up and every trip felt like it could be its last. That's not even mentioning the strange noises that had become part of its charm (or so I told myself).

Deciding what to do with a car that’s seen better days is never easy but sometimes you just have to wave goodbye and let go. So after mulling over it for what seemed ages, I decided selling it for parts or scrap was probably best considering the condition.

Heading into the process was simpler than expected too! No elaborate plans needed; called up the salvage yard nearby – they asked about make, model and problems with car – basic stuff really.

They gave me an offer right then and there over phone which sounded fair enough given state of things under hood (which frankly resembled modern art more than automotive innards). Agreed upon price didn’t change when they actually saw her in person either - refreshing honesty if you ask me!

The junk car pickup itself went smoothly as well; they came around with tow truck at agreed upon time... few signatures later voila! Space in driveway plus bit extra cash pocket definitely nice perk especially since most won't pay much attention non-running cars these days unless being used coffee table basement rec rooms perhaps?

Seeing an empty spot can sure stir sentimentality, but nothing beats simplicity where both local car junk yards parties walk away content.

Cheers until next update once again from my side roads life journey continues albeit slightly less clanking backseat companionship onwards we roll yeah?
