Selecting the right basket is crucial for displaying your blanket. Here are a few things to consider:

  • Size: Ensure the basket is large enough to accommodate your blanket. It should be at least 18" in diameter and 12" deep.
  • Material: Wicker, seagrass, and rattan are popular choices for their durability and aesthetic appeal. You can also opt for fabric or wooden baskets for a different look.
  • Style: Choose a basket that complements your room's decor. A rustic basket would fit well in a cottage-style room, while a sleek, modern one would be perfect for a contemporary space.

Insert them almost falling on him multiple times. So I set out to find a new way to store my blankets. I looked at baskets, bins, and ottomans but couldn’t find anything I really loved. I also didn’t want blankets being drug all over the house if Theo could get into them. I saw some cool ways to store them on the wall, but you would have to fold/roll them and that seemed like a lot to maintain. I found some wall ā€œbasketsā€ that could hold blankets/towels but getting them out to actually use looked like a pain. **insert a hay feeder** I immediately loved the idea, it was sturdy, you didn’t have to fold the blankets and it would be super easy to get the blankets out to use (and without having to get upšŸ˜‰) I am obsessed with how it turned out and even ordered a second one for downstairs! Creative Display Ideas

Here are some creative ways to display your blanket in a basket:

Layer with Pillows

Place the basket with the blanket in it on a couch or bed, and layer it with throw pillows. This creates a cozy nook that's ready for movie nights or afternoon naps.

Use as a Room Divider

If you have an open-plan space, you can use the basket with the blanket to divide the room. Place the basket on its side and lean it against a wall or piece of furniture. The blanket will cascade down, creating a soft, textured barrier.

Create a Cozy Corner

Place the basket in a quiet corner of your room, along with a plush rug and some books. This will create a cozy reading nook where you can curl up with a good book and your favorite blanket.

Maintaining Your Blanket Display

To keep your blanket display looking its best, here are some maintenance tips:

  • Regularly Wash the Blanket: Even if your blanket isn't used often, it can still attract dust and allergens. Wash it every few months to keep it fresh and clean.
  • Keep the Basket Clean: If your basket is washable, clean it regularly to remove any dirt or stains. If it's not washable, use a damp cloth with mild soap to wipe it down.
  • Fluff the Blanket: Over time, blankets can become flat and lifeless. Fluff it up every now and then to restore its soft, inviting texture.

Displaying a blanket in a basket is a simple yet effective way to add warmth and texture to your space. With these tips and ideas, you're ready to create a cozy, inviting atmosphere in your home. Happy decorating!
