Boys and girls are selected from a wide range of local schools. "To further inspire the young voices of tomorrow, we spread a love of singing and draft in new talent through a singing programme for local schoolchildren and our.

To celebrate the 150 th anniversary of the Boys and Lay Clerks the choir visited St David's Cathedral between 30 May and 1 June. The choir sang 4 services including music by Welsh composer William Mathias and a piece specially written for the Abbey Boys and Lay Clerks to celebrate their 150 th anniversary - God be merciful unto us and bless us (psalm 67) by Francis Grier.
