Any recommendations for a bathroom heater? Winter is here and it gets pretty chilly in the morning in the bathroom. Was looking for a heater that j could either permanently mount or just plug in there during the cold season. I didn't think a regular heater would be a good idea for such a wet environment.

Safest electric heaters are the oil filled heaters that look like radiators. Since they have no exposed heating elements, there no risk of setting a towel on fire. They will also typically have an auto shutoff if it gets knocked over.

I turn it on 20 min prior to showering an it makes for a toasty, comfortable place to step out of the shower into. Just make sure anything you use is rated for use in wet/high humidity spaces.

Is a heater in the bathroom fan worth it? I'm going to be replacing my bathroom fan as part of an ongoing yearly battle against shower mold. However I have found a few models that also have a heater in them. I like the idea of being able to stay warm while drying off, especially since this new fan will likely be robbing me of precious warm air.

What about a dehumidifier? They are designed to work in humid conditions. Also, they are also more "efficient" than electric heaters because they release the water vapor's enthalpy of vaporization as heat. And they can be set to only run when the humidity is high (during showers) when the heat is needed and when they are also most efficient.

The biggest downside is that they have much lower. Is this bathroom heater safe to use? Our house was built in the 70s and comes with these Thermador bathroom heaters on the ceiling. For as long as I can remember, my mom has always told us to not use it, she even put duct tape on the part of the light switch used to turn it on so that we couldn't use it.

Heat and most of the humidity rises when showering, keep the heater low on or near the floor. 2nd, air out the bathroom after you're finished in the morning. Be mindful of things that can catch on fire, most heaters are 1500W, nearly a full electric load on a normal breaker.

if you have to use extension cable make sure it is heavy / rated for it. the other thing is to make sure your timer can. Tankless gives you unlimited hot water, but has major downsides including being finicky on flow-rates (a heater large enough to handle a shower plus someone washing dishes may be too large to supply a bathroom sink alone) and requiring more frequent maintenance.

The common Broan 655 is a piece of junk. Loud, fans don't last long, heat all seems to be sucked out by the exhaust fan if run simultaneous. Is there a good alternative? Is it even possible to put the heat and exhaust fan in the same unit or will it always get sucked straight out? Put a heater in the wall? Panasonic seems to make many in this space but too many choices.
