Bmw R1250gs Recalls
BMW of North America has issued a recall on its R1250GS, R1250GS Adventure and R1250RT-P models for an issue with the gearbox input shaft. A total of 18,489 BMW motorcycles, from model years 2019-2023, may be affected by the recall issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). On January 18, 2023, BMW Motorrad and the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration issued campaign number 23V011000, recalling about 18,500 BMW R 1250 GS, GSA and RTP (authority) motorcycles for a problem with the gearbox input shaft.

Hayes leaking brakes originally on '19-'20 R1250s were somewhat serious issue but were replaced by BMW and there's ongoing recall for DS corrosion being rectified (affects both LC platforms) If buying new '22-'23 R1250GS neither of those 2 issues matters.

On January 18, 2023, BMW of North America announced a safety recall for all 2019 through 2023 R 1250 GS, R 1250 GS Adventure, and R 1250 RTP motorcycles due to the potential risk of a broken. In October 2020, BMW became aware of a 2019 BMW R1250 GS in Italy in which a customer complained about a broken gearbox input shaft and a blocked rear wheel. Two additional similar complaints, in Italy and the Netherlands, in October and November 2020, involving 2019 BMW R1250GS models, were received.

Approximately 51 R1250GS and 60 R1250GS Adventure models, for the 2019 and 2020 model years, may be affected by the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) recall related to the brake.
