The new Restaurant at BMW Welt: The Cloud by Käfer Starting June 26 th 2025, Munich welcomed a new kind of experiential dining: THE CLOUD by Käfer. In close collaboration with the gastronomy experts at Käfer, our Designworks Munich team redesigned the restaurant at BMW Welt - BMW's delivery and brand experience center. The studio was founded in 1972 in Malibu, California by Chuck Pelly.
Holger Hampf has been at the helm of the consulting agency since 2017. About Käfer at BMW Welt Käfer arrived at BMW Welt in October 2012, and now operates the Cooper's Garden bistro, Biker's Lodge café, Bavarie restaurant and THE CLOUD by Käfer fine. THE CLOUD team consists of Michael Käfer (Käfer Gruppe); Sandra Wittemer (Leiterin BMW Welt), Mona Röthig (Restaurant Manager THE CLOUD), and Jens Madsen (Head Chef THE CLOUD).Käfer came to the BMW Welt in 2012 and operates several dining establishments at the Welt, including Cooper's Garden bistro, Biker's Lodge cafe, Bavarie.
