Western redcedar (Thuja plicata) Coast Salish Plant Nursery

Cedar trees, particularly the eastern red cedar (juniperus virginiana), have been considered an invasive species in some regions. Western redcedars are a water. No reference that we have lists this species as invasive in north america. They can outcompete native vegetation and alter ecosystems through their rapid growth and ability to form dense stands.
