All Sonic Characters Eyes

Sonic the Hedgehog is the main character of the series and debuted on the game of the same name. He's a blue hedgehog and is generally regarded as one of the most popular video game characters of all time. He's best known for his speed, which overtime seems to have increased.

His first appearance alongside Nintendo characters (without bashing Sega) was in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games for. The only consistent patterns I'm noticing are that all the hedgehogs are mono-eyed and all the echidnas and cats have separated eyes. The whole mono-eye thing looks better on bigger eyes, so a lot of the big eyed characters have it, like Sonic and Charmy.

You know what it is already, since it's in the flippin' headline, but our question is simple: how many eyes does Sonic really have? Sonic CD introduced Amy Rose, a female hedgehog with a persistent crush on Sonic. Sonic 3 introduced Knuckles the Echidna, Sonic's rival and later friend.
