Super Sonic Inverted Colors

Read a comment in a recent post that sonic is yellow cause it's the inversion of blue and I wanted to see what the others looked like if they followed that rule, regardless of it's validity. Process is right here! What's this effect called, where it's inverted but the white parts don't turn black?

Alright, so Sonic's super form is yellow because that's blue inverted. I find it kinda strange that most other super forms aren't the inverse of the character's normal fur color; Super Shadow's a weird yellow-white instead of just pure white, Super Silver turns gold-white (which I'd allow if they'd just call him Gold Silver because that would be rad), Super Knuckles is pink which is just. On one hand Sonic's blue gets inverted to yellow and Scourge's green inverts to purple.
