The engine makes what sounds like the timing chain rattling only on first start up, and around 4k to 5K RPM, under a load. The sound does not increase/decrease with engine speed, the vanos i doubt, because about 5K miles ago I had inspection II done along with vanos maintenance. Maybe it's all in my head, but I ordered some oil so it should come in soon and I'll change that and see how it sounds.
