Max I've hit so far was 30deg; I'm hearing that you can go 50-60deg. I'm not trying to blaze up the local streets but can't you get mad lean at slower speeds too? Empirically we know that less lean angle equates to less risk. You're not going to find many arguments to that. However it would seem for a given speed and radius, the lateral acceleration is the same regardless of how much a rider is or is not hanging off the motorcycle.

E.g. a rider goes through a corner at 40mph hung way off (so the bike is leaned let's say 30 degrees), rider then goes.
