Do we possess the ability to outright and automatically know and can we feel a certain smoothness, plushness, and frictionless stroke of a suspension fork's travel? Is it discernable enough to justify paying for the difference in the more expensive Kashima Coat versus FOX's Performance series or forks with their hard anodized black surface.

I've dug around a bit, but I haven't had any luck finding additional components that would perfectly match the kashima coatings found on Fox's forks and droppers. Has anyone ever seen other kashima-colored (or coated) pedals, stems, hubs, chains, chainrings, bolts, etc?
