Do you honestly think there are more M3's then M2's. I would consider 35k global for an entire run as comparatively rare in today's day and age when the regular 3 series sells over 40k units a year. The differences in engines between the M2 and M3 are actually pretty self-explanatory.

M2 transmission tunnel is more intrusive than the F80/F82 due to the small cabin, so your left leg sits ever so slightly more to the right if that makes sense.
