In a nod to the iconic BMW E30 M3's racing legacy of the 1980s, MANHART Classic Cars has unveiled its latest creation. This iconic BMW M3 normally has a four-cylinder engine, but tuned by Manhart, it now packs a classic 3.5. The E30-generation BMW M3 has become a hugely desirable collector's car over the last decade but despite prices soaring, Manhart has decided to modify an E30 M3 in the pursuit of making it.
Modified Manhart's restomod E30 M3 uses a 399bhp turbocharged Alpina straight-six It's a classic BMW coming-together, as the E30 M3 gets an Alpina B7 S Turbo transplant. Manhart's " MH3 3.5 Turbo " started as a BMW E30 E3 with a 2.3 L S14 inline-four. They swapped the inline-four for a turbocharged 3.5 L M90 inline-six from an Alpina B7 S Turbo.
The motor produces 405 hp and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque thanks to a modified K27 turbocharger and Manhart's intercooler and exhaust. The drivetrain uses a five. Back in the 1980s, the BMW E30 M3 was a racing legend.
