The idea. A small car. With a big heart.
In 2002, under the leadership of Zoran Zorneke, the first car boasting G-POWER HURRICANE character was presented to the tuning world: the G-POWER G3M CSL E46, with a 5.0L V10 S85B50 from the BMW M5 E60 and a performance enhancement up to 530 hp. German tuning shop G-POWER is saying goodbye to the current generation F90 M5 with a new product. Dubbed G5M Hurricane RR, this tuned up M5 now makes 900 horsepower and a maximum torque of 1,050 Nm.
G-Power converted this car to a "Hurricane RR". Thanks to two superchargers (compressors that are much like Prochargers) it now has a power output of 850hp to the rear wheels! The G-POWER brand, which has specialized in BMW M optimizations for more than 38 years, has now chosen the V8 luxury liner as the basis for higher levels, transforming it optionally into the G8M HURRICANE RS with 840 hp or G8M HURRICANE RR with 900 hp.
2010 G-Power M6 Hurricane CS Creating the ultimate BMW, nothing less was the set target for the G-POWER engineers when they started to designe the G-POWER M6 HURRICANE CS. The starting basis for this project is the currently most exclusive model in the BMW product range, the BMW M6. Second of all, the G-Power G8M HURRICANE RR is simply an upgraded BMW M8 Competition featuring an incredible power output of 900 horsepower and 1050Nm of torque.
Instead, the standard M8 Competition generates a comparatively larger 617 horsepower and 750Nm of torque, which should be enough for most motorists. As a complete vehicle, the G1 V8 HURRICANE RS costs € 141,176.80 Euros (net) and includes the 20" wheel set, suspension, brake system together with the installation of the M3 V8 engine including the DCT gearbox, the stainless steel exhaust system and the supercharger system for the power output enhancement to 600 hp, as well as the G. Hurricane packs are always the most powerful kits G-Power offers.
The turbochargers have been upgraded, while the intake and exhaust valves are larger. G-Power's logo has replaced the BMW roundels, and the Hurricane RR logo has replaced the M5 CS badge. The E60/61 BMW M5 and its high-revving V-10 may be a thing of the past to the German automaker, but not at G-Power.
In fact, they're breaking new ground with the previous-generation model with their new M5 Hurricane RRs. The latest model in the Hurricane line, the RRs is capable of 229 mph and boasts 830 horsepower from its twin.
