What I did to install CarPlay on my iA was I bought an infotainment computer off of a newer 2020 Toyota Yaris as they had CarPlay from the factory (won't loose the blue UI color) and bought a wireless CarPlay retrofit kit off Amazon that replaced the USB port hub in the center console.
