Zf Transmission Bmw E46
The auto tranny in the 325i SULEV (M56 engine) stayed with the ZF transmission for the entire production run 2003-2005. The auto tranny in the 330i/ci from the start of production up to 03/2003 is made by ZF then they switched to the GM transmission again until the end of production. It's all very confusing.
They are also found on all SULEV models until the end of the e46 run and are alternatively referred to as A5S325Z-TT (325), A5S 325Z-TU (330), etc. tl;dr: If someone lists a ZF 5HP19 BMW transmission used on eBay or Facebook and says it is for both 325/330, they are wrong. There are two different transmissions, and it is worth it to understand how.
