Projection Mapping Technology

Projection mapping is a specialized visual effects technique that involves projecting video onto three-dimensional surfaces. This technology allows artists to transform ordinary buildings into extraordinary canvases, creating stunning visual experiences.

For the Crystal Bridges light show, projection mapping artists work closely with the museum's curatorial team to create displays that complement the building's design and honor its artistic legacy. The result is a light show that is not only visually impressive but also deeply rooted in the museum's mission to celebrate the American experience through art.

Artistic Collaboration

The Crystal Bridges light show is a prime example of how art and technology can come together to create something truly unique. The museum works with a diverse range of artists, from visual artists to musicians, to create a light show that is both visually stunning and emotionally resonant.

In 2024, the museum plans to expand its artistic collaborations, inviting new voices to contribute to the light show's narrative. This inclusive approach ensures that the light show remains fresh, innovative, and reflective of the diverse communities it serves.

As the winter of 2024 approaches, anticipation builds for the Crystal Bridges light show. With its promise of new installations, interactive features, and artistic collaborations, the 2024 edition is set to be an unforgettable experience. Mark your calendars, and get ready to be dazzled by the magic of light, art, and technology at Crystal Bridges.
