What You'll Need

Before you begin, gather your tools and products:

Heat protectant spray
Curling iron (1.5 to 2-inch barrel)
Hair clips

Pinning the Jelly Roll

Wrap the twisted rope around the base of your neck, tucking the ends underneath and pinning them in place using bobby pins. Make sure to insert the pins at an angle for better hold. For added security, you can use duckbill clips to hold the Jelly Roll in place.

Finishing Touches

Once your Jelly Roll is securely pinned, use your fingers to gently loosen some of the curls and create a softer, more voluminous look.
